Beining

About Me.
My name is Beining, a Chinese graphic designer with expertise in branding, typography, packaging, and immersive technologies. With a solid foundation in both traditional and innovative design practices, I am actively seeking new opportunities to leverage my skills and contribute to impactful creative projects.

As the co-founder of hunLAB, I spearhead graphic design for exhibitions, including our debut project, CeramiXR, which seamlessly integrated ceramics with VR and AR technologies. The exhibition drew over 600 visitors from Sydney and beyond, demonstrating my ability to merge art, design, and technology. I also collaborated with VR artist Andrew Yip as a conceptual design assistant, developing interactive games for the Powerhouse Museum. These experiences have refined my ability to deliver visually engaging and technically innovative solutions.

In 2019, I moved to Australia to further my education, earning a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the University of Canberra (2022) and a Postgraduate Degree in Simulation and Immersive Technologies from the University of New South Wales (2023). My academic journey allowed me to explore diverse design disciplines while cultivating a deep appreciation for projects that celebrate cultural identity. Studying in a multicultural environment has enhanced my cultural intelligence, enabling me to navigate diverse perspectives and communicate effectively across cultural boundaries.

I am eager to bring my skills and passion to new creative challenges. I am particularly drawn to projects that combine storytelling, technology, and design, and I am deeply committed to learning the stories of this land. I look forward to embarking on a new creative adventure and contributing to innovative, culturally rich endeavors.
